Helping Hands offers several internships in the Therapeutic Riding Industry. Gain experience in the field of non-profit management, business, equine-assisted therapy and other related fields. Our internships range in time of duration depending on the nature of the project.
Therapeutic Riding Program Development Internship
Assist the Program Development Director with sponsorship relations management, donor related materials and programs, special event planning, and donor recognition.
- Skills Needed: Microsoft Word, Excel, and customer service experience desired.
Therapeutic Riding Marketing Internship
Assist the marketing department with community outreach, creation of marketing materials, event promotion, social media and website development.
- Skills Needed: Creativity, computer literacy, and experience with websites desired.
Therapeutic Riding Stable Management Internship
Assist the stable manager with daily maintenance, feeding, and care for our horses. May also volunteer in lessons as needed.
- Skills Needed: Equine experience
Therapeutic Riding Volunteer Director Internship
Assist the Volunteer Director with recruitment, training, and maintaining volunteer paperwork. Help with special volunteer events and volunteer program development.
- Skills Needed: Computer skills, and customer service experience desired
Therapeutic Riding Administrative Assistant Internship
Assist with administrative activities including special event planning , newsletter writing, and event promotion.
- Skills Needed: data entry and Microsoft Office experience desired
Therapeutic Riding Instructor Internship
Assist instructors in therapeutic riding classes including planning and teaching, and other varied aspects of the program.
- Skills Needed: Equestrian experience
